Practice Comment 'ACT holds a unique position as an RIAI-registered architectural design practice in Ireland operating as a social enterprise. This award demonstrates that purpose-led design practices can successfully operate within a not-for-profit model while responding to Ireland’s declared climate and ecological emergencies.' — James McConville, Director, ACT

Architecture for Change The traditional construction industry defaults to a "business as usual" approach that often excludes community voices and ignores ecological limits. Our social enterprise model was built to bridge this gap, aiming to transform architecture and its influence on the build environment from a 'take-make-waste' service into a regenerative practice that gives back to our ecosystems and society.

While we are honoured to take home the award, the night was a powerful reminder of the incredible work being done across the social enterprice sector. We want to extend a huge congratulations to our fellow finalists: Liquid Therapy, The Toy Library, Common Knowledge and Spraoi agus Spórt.

We thank the LAMA judges for this recognition, Rethink Ireland for their continued support and the communities that we serve to design a more equitable, regenerative future.
